The Plattsburgh Common Council will consider a one-year moratorium on new high-energy computing facilities, including data centers and artificial intelligence operations. City officials say current zoning regulations do not address the potential effects of those facilities. A public hearing begins at 5:30 Thursday evening in the City Hall council chambers. Councilors are expected to vote on the proposal during their regular meeting afterward.
