Simpson Seeks Review of New York Voter Registration Systems

Assemblyman Matt Simpson is calling for legislative hearings on New York’s voter registration technology and state contracts with software vendor IDEMIA. The request follows a New Jersey system error that mistakenly registered about 6,600 noncitizens. Simpson says lawmakers should review safeguards, audits and spending involving the company.

The Boonville-Oneida County Fair fireworks originally planned for Wednesday night have been rescheduled for Friday because of the weather forecast. Boil Water Order Lifted in Plattsburgh

The City of Plattsburgh says the boil water order for 3 through 15 Battery Street and 45 Pine Street has been lifted. Residents and businesses at those addresses may resume normal water use. The order had remained in place until testing confirmed the water was safe.
