A report by the NY State Nurses Association shows that north country healthcare services have eroded.
The New York State Nurses Association released a report analyzing the state of patient care in the North Country. According to the Nurses Association the report suggests that access to health care has eroded in the region that includes Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties. Specifically, the group says the report shows the region lost 226 hospital beds between 2013 and 2024 including nearly half of their pediatric beds and 13% of beds for maternal health patients. The State Nurses Association is urging hospital administrators, legislators and policymakers to read the report and address the ongoing patient care crisis.
