Applications are now being received to give low-income New Yorkers air conditioners.

The program, which is overseen by the office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, will pay for air conditioners for eligible households that include someone who has a documented medical condition exacerbated by heat and low-income families with young children.  Funding is expected to be available through the beginning of June.  HEAP eligibility criteria and income thresholds apply.
