Senator Dan Stec and members of the Republican Conference are urging the governor to have an outside firm audit programs administered by state agencies after reports of fraud in Minnesota.
A letter has been sent to the Governor by the Senate Republican Conference, urging her to immediately hire a private professional services firm to conduct a truly independent audit of programs administered by state agencies according to Senator Dan Stec one of the signers on the letter. This comes in the aftermath of reports of widespread fraud involving taxpayer dollars in Minnesota. The Senator said in a social media post that the group wants to ensure that public funds are only being distributed to authorized organizations utilized for authorized activities.
