SUNY Plattsburgh ACE Program Reports Strong Student Results

SUNY Plattsburgh says its ACE program is improving academic performance for first-generation and Pell Grant-eligible students. Nearly 95 percent of more than 300 participants were in good academic standing last spring, while about 66 percent had grade-point averages of 3.0 or higher. The program provides advising, mentoring and financial help for textbooks, groceries and transportation.

Boil Water Order Issued for Part of Plattsburgh

A boil water order was issued Friday for 3 through 15 Battery Street and 45 Pine Street in Plattsburgh following an emergency water main repair. The city said the order would remain in effect until further notice. Residents should confirm whether it has been lifted before using tap water normally.
