Nearly 100 coastal scientists and environmental managers from across the Northeast gathered recently at SUNY Plattsburgh for the annual New England Estuarine Research Society conference. The event featured sessions on coastal restoration, ecosystem health, marine life, and Lake Champlain conservation efforts. Students from the university’s Lake Champlain Research Institute also presented research during the conference, while visitors attended museum events and community activities in downtown Plattsburgh.
