The Adirondack Railroad is adding two historic first-class railcars to its fleet this fall. Built in 1949 and 1950, the Overland Trail and Pacific Trail are expected to serve Utica, Old Forge, Tupper Lake and other Adirondack destinations, possibly in time for fall foliage excursions. One car is a 39-seat lounge with a bar and vintage barber shop, while the other is a 44-seat coach. Ticket information for the cars will be announced later.
