Three more animals have tested positive for rabies in St. Lawrence County. County health officials say a bat and 2 raccoons were confirmed positive by the state Wadsworth Laboratory. That brings the county’s total to 14 rabid animals so far this year. Residents are urged to avoid contact with wild animals, keep pets vaccinated and report animal bites or possible rabies exposure to the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department.
